# Jobven > Jobven is a job postings API. It collects postings directly from employer career sites and the applicant tracking systems behind them (Workday, SuccessFactors, Greenhouse, Ashby, iCIMS, Oracle and others), re-reads every board daily, and serves open and closed jobs with full descriptions and structured fields through a REST API and HTTPS webhooks. A free tier is included. Each job carries the title, the full description (HTML, plain text and Markdown), the company, structured locations with country codes and remote, hybrid or on-site, employment type, experience level, salary where stated or derived, skills, language and the employer's apply URL. AI-derived fields are labelled as such. Requests authenticate with an API key in the `X-API-Key` header; keys are free at https://jobven.com/signup. ## Getting started - [Introduction](https://jobven.com/docs/getting-started): what the data is and how it is delivered - [Authentication](https://jobven.com/docs/getting-started/authentication): create an API key and send it in the X-API-Key header - [Quick start](https://jobven.com/docs/getting-started/quick-start): the first API call, step by step ## API reference - [Overview](https://jobven.com/docs/reference/overview): base URL, response format and error codes - [Jobs](https://jobven.com/docs/reference/jobs): search and retrieve jobs, with every filter and the cursor pagination - [Companies](https://jobven.com/docs/reference/companies): the free companies list, and company profiles with industry, size, founding year and headquarters - [Data types](https://jobven.com/docs/reference/data-types): enum values and object structures - [API stability](https://jobven.com/docs/reference/api-stability): what changes without notice, and how breaking changes are announced at least 30 days ahead - [OpenAPI specification](https://api.jobven.com/api/docs/public-json): the public API as OpenAPI 3 JSON - [Sample job](https://api.jobven.com/v1/public/jobs/sample): one full job record, no key needed ## Webhooks - [Webhooks](https://jobven.com/docs/webhooks): job lifecycle events pushed to an HTTPS endpoint, HMAC-signed and retried - [Event reference](https://jobven.com/docs/webhooks/event-reference): payloads for job.created, job.updated, job.closed and job.deleted ## MCP server - [Use Jobven in Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and Codex](https://jobven.com/docs/mcp): the MCP server at https://api.jobven.com/mcp, its tools, and how each search returns its REST request ## Guides - [Filter jobs by skills, location and salary](https://jobven.com/docs/guides/how-to-filter-jobs-by-skills-location-and-salary) - [Fetch all jobs with cursor pagination](https://jobven.com/docs/guides/cursor-pagination-for-large-job-datasets) - [Sync only new jobs](https://jobven.com/docs/guides/automate-daily-job-sync-with-incremental-updates) - [Handle rate limits](https://jobven.com/docs/guides/how-to-handle-api-rate-limits) - [Build a job board](https://jobven.com/docs/guides/how-to-build-a-job-board) ## Code examples - [JavaScript](https://jobven.com/docs/code-examples/javascript) - [Python](https://jobven.com/docs/code-examples/python) - [cURL](https://jobven.com/docs/code-examples/curl) ## Optional - [Pricing](https://jobven.com/pricing): plans metered per job delivered, by Pull or webhook - [Changelog](https://jobven.com/changelog): API changes by date
